TENCEL™ is certified biodegradable and compostable. TENCEL fibers are made from wood pulp from sustainably managed sources. TENCEL fibers have up to 50% lower carbon emissions and water consumption compared to generic lyocell and modal fibers. TENCEL fibers are made using an environmentally responsible process. Lycra® T400 is an innovative new yarn technology providing stretch & comfort of traditional spandex with longer lasting durability. The yarn construction allows the stretch & recovery to withstand rigorous use & wash and maintain stretch performance for the life of the garment. This is one of the first stretch fibers that can be recycled to full performance, unlike spandex.
