I hand sculpt this elegant barrette in finest quality, musical instrument grade, jet-black Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) from Africa. I then add a painstakingly handcrafted gem filled intarsia setting with turquoise, jet, mother of pearl, lapis, gaspeite, and sugalite finished with a rope sterling accent. An elegant, modern design with just a hint of southwestern flair. Size: Large approx. 3 3/4" size of clip: 80mm / 3 1/4" The most commonly used barrette size. Will work well for most hair types.

Our barrettes are gallery quality. We use AAA premium materials: the world's finest sustainably sourced exotic and domestic hardwoods, precious metals and gem grade gemstones. Each piece is lovingly hand crafted one at a time in our northern Michigan studio.

We've been making wood barrettes for over 20 years. Our wooden barrettes are all made from SOLID wood.  **Never a thin layer of veneer over a cheaper base wood**
They are screwed not glued to the made in France clips for a strong, durable, mess free joint.

Barrette clips vary quite a bit in quality. I use only the highest quality French Barrette Clips on all my barrettes. They have proven themselves over time to be the best available.

Jewelry Care: Please remove jewelry when sleeping, showering or swimming Precious metals can tarnish - we recommend storing your jewelry and hair accessories in the plastic bag provided when not in use.
