This elegant barrette is hand sculpted in finest quality, musical instrument grade, black Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) from Africa. I then add a stunning gem grade  faceted Citrine gem in a elegant sterling silver setting.

Size: Small (barrette size approx. 2 1/2") - Good barrette for use in fine hair, children's hair, or to pull back a section of fine hair.

Ebony, famous for its rich jet-black color, has been used in the finest furniture and musical instrument making for centuries. It's one of the world's most prized and expensive hardwoods!

We've been making wood barrettes for over 20 years. Our wooden barrettes are all made from SOLID wood.  **Never a thin layer of veneer over a cheaper base wood**
They are screwed not glued to the made in France clips for a strong, durable, mess free joint.

Barrette clips vary quite a bit in quality. I use only the highest quality French Barrette Clips on all my barrettes. They have proven themselves over time to be the best available.
